Book Fair
The Book Fair is Coming... To the Book Fair and Beyond! Reading is Out of this World!
The GBW Annual Fall Book Fair is coming soon. The GBW Library and the Scholastic Book Company will host the Fall Book Fair on Nov. 14 – 18.
Fostering a child’s love of reading and learning through books should be the goal of every parent. What better way to achieve this goal than to give the gift of a book? Our GBW Fall Book Fair will be an excellent opportunity for you to purchase books and other novelty items for the upcoming holiday gift giving season.
Supporting our school’s Book Fair is also a great way to help us to obtain quality instructional books and materials that your child will be able to use in the school library and classrooms.
The Book Fair will be open for student browsing on Monday, Nov. 14 during school hours and on Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 9:30 to 12:00 pm. During this time, your student will have the chance to create a “wish list” of books that he or she is interested in reading. This list will be sent home to share with you. A complete list of available books can be found on our school’s Book Fair website at:
http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/greenbriarwestlibrary
Hours for purchasing items from the Book Fair begin at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 15 and will continue until noon on Friday, Nov.18 during school hours.
The Book Fair will be open during all of the Thanksgiving Luncheons served on Thursday, Nov. 17.
One evening Book Fair “Family Night” will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The Book Fair will be open from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on this evening for families to shop together at the Book Fair.
Please help us!!!
Hosting a Book Fair is a huge event! Having lots of helpers makes it so much easier! Please consider volunteering to help us out this year. We will need your help with setting up, helping younger students create their wish lists, working as cashiers or re-stockers, keeping crowd control, and breaking down the Book Fair. Any help that you can give us would be greatly appreciated!
