FLES - Club Leo
The Spanish FLES department in GBW would like to offer all families the opportunity to order books from Club Leo, the Scholastic Spanish/Bilingual book club. The books that they offer are wonderful if you want to reinforce what your child is learning in Spanish FLES or, if someone at home speaks Spanish, to encourage literacy in Spanish in addition to English. They are also a great value and offer a way for the school to earn free books to use in Spanish FLES classes.
If you are interested in perusing their catalog, there are two methods from which you can choose:
ONLINE — You can access the Club Leo online catalog by navigating to http://bookclubs.scholastic.com. You will need to create an account and enter the Spanish FLES activation code of JC9R2 to view the Club Leo catalogs. If you already have an account for your child’s classroom teacher, you can choose to “Add a child” to your account and enter the Spanish FLES activation code of JC9R2 in addition to your child’s information. With this option, you can order from your classroom and from FLES separately.
PAPER CATALOG — Contact Señora Shahin via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or voicemail (703.633.6793) and ask that she send a paper catalog home with your student in their Thursday folder. Then, send in your order along with a check made out to “Scholastic Book Club” for the exact amount due (there is no sales tax) to “Señora Shahin – Spanish Scholastic order” and she will distribute the books to your child when the order arrives.
