GBW International Night 2012 – January 19, 2012
Bonjour! Hola! Guten Tag! Namaste! Nǐ hǎo! Ahn nyeong ha se yo! Subbah-el-kheir! Hello! GBW’s International Night will be here soon – January 19, 2012, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm! International Night will be one of the first major events of the New Year for the GBW community.
The goal of International Night is to promote and celebrate the diversity of the GBW community. We will be setting up kiosks or stations throughout the gym to encourage students to travel from country to country to learn different aspects from each country. For example students could explore spices from Morocco, Flamenco dancing from Spain, or learn to write their names in Chinese characters – the possibilities and the learning opportunities are endless! We have successfully increased participation and attendance to this event over the past two years and we hope to continue the trend for 2012.
Calling all volunteers, please! In order for this to be a successful event for our children – we need your help and participation. If you love sharing your culture and heritage with others then this is the perfect forum for you! We need volunteers for the cultural kiosks and we will also have a stage available for a few group performances. Each student will have a GBW International Night Passport to help document their travels and to have as a keepsake of the event.
We will also allow for a few group performances throughout the event – please contact Katherine Virdi, by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as possible to schedule your group performance – please no individual performances.

We encourage you and your family to come participate and celebrate the diversity of the GBW community.
