There will be games to play, prizes to win, obstacle courses to run, fortunes to tell and prizes to spin for. There will be multiple moon bounces for all ages, sodas to ring, cakes and stuffed animals to walk away with. Plus, we will have a face painter who can do all those really cool theatrical designs! One price for all the games, HUGE moon bounces, and inflatable games

Buy a Wristband Early to Save Time and Money

Wristbands Required.
• A non-transferable wristband is required for four hours of unlimited fun.
• Children using the games will need to purchase an entry bracelet. Chaperones do not need one.

all food items (2-3 tickets each for most items)

animal walk, and

Volunteer

Greenbriar West’s annual carnival is fast approaching. The carnival will be held Saturday, March 13th from 12:00 – 4:00 pm. The carnival is always a wonderful event for the children, but we need a lot of volunteers for it to be a success.

We will be handling volunteers differently this year. Classes are not going to be assigned a game. Please sign-up for what time you would like to work and you will be assign you to a carnival activity. Please note your first and second choices and we will do our best to assign you to that time slot. We will contact you with your assigned activity and time. At least FIVE parent volunteers from each Homeroom Class are needed. Indicate your child’s teacher’s name on the volunteer form below.

Please complete the bottom portion of the volunteer form and return it to school no later than Friday, March 5th. If you cannot volunteer for a time slot, please donate a cake for the Cake Walk or a baked good for the Bake Sale. If you have any questions, please contact Karen McGrath by email or 703-631-0318.

50/50 Raffle

DRAWING AT 3:30 PM on March 13, 2010

It’s that time of year again when we look forward to our annual carnival and with that we look forward to one lucky member of our community winning the 50/50 Raffle! The total dollar amount received from the sale of the tickets will be split 50/50 between the PTA and the winner. Last year’s winner took home over $700!

To make the raffle successful, we need your help. Enclosed are ten tickets that we are asking you to sell. Parent participation is essential, as Fairfax County Public Schools prohibit students from selling gambling tickets. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter. A TICKET only costs $1.00 and you need NOT be present to win!!! Please be sure that each ticket is filled out correctly and legibly! Keep the smaller portion of the stub as a reminder of the date and time. Use the envelope you received this letter in to return the tickets
and money to your child’s teacher. Please make checks payable to “Greenbriar West PTA’. Please write separate checks for the 50/50 raffle tickets and the carnival tickets.

Ticket sales progress will be posted in the school’s lobby so everyone can watch the number climb! Tickets will also be on sale at the Carnival.
